Guinness World Records is partnering with C Squared Networks’ Festival of Media to deliver a new award category to honour the best record-breaking branding campaign.

The gong, a category within the Festival of Media Awards and sponsored by Guinness World Records, is first being rolled out in Asia Pacific, with nominated entries including the highest altitude wedding, the largest group of smartphones, and the most people playing a board game at the same time.

Alistair Richards, Guinness World Records global president, said: “With Festival of Media, and its global award series, we are pleased to recognise our record holders who use Guinness World Records achievements in ever-more creative, innovative media campaigns.

“All those on the shortlist are deserving of the accolade, but it is up to the industry to determine which campaign will walk away with the award.”

The partnership goes through two other events after the Asia Pacific Festival of Media, with a global event taking place in Rome on 6-8 April and a LatAm festival in Miami on 1-3 October.
