GMail notifications in Google+

A new Chrome plugin has been released which integrates GMail and Google+, providing you with notifications when you receive new emails on your GMail account. Email marketing boosts ad recall and buying intention

Running email marketing alongside a display ad campaign can increase customer recall and dramatically affect their intention to buy, compared to advertising on its own, a study has found.

When backed up with an email campaign, customers demonstrated 13% better recall on display ads, according to research from email services provider eCircle, in conjunction with Nielsen.

Mobile marketers struggling to demonstrate ROI

A new study from King Fish Media has shed light of the state of the current mobile marketing industry, revealing that while the channel is popular for customer relationship building, many brands are struggling to effectively measure ROI.

Sponsored by Maxymiser, HubSpot and Junta42, the survey found that only a third of companies have any kind of mobile marketing plan in place, while among the rest, two thirds are planning to implement some kind of strategy in the next twelve months.

UK retailers failing to integrate new practices into email marketing

Top UK retailers are failing to hit the mark when it comes to email marketing, a new study has claimed.

Many are still failing to get the best results from email by neglecting advanced techniques like social media bookmarking links, personalisation and post-sales marketing.
