Highlighting content creators in search results
Google has started to highlight the people creating content in search results because authorship is a great way to identify and highlight high-quality content. This new search experience is being piloted with a small sample of authors who have linked their Google profile with their content.
WHAT’S NEW THIS WEEK WITH YAHOO:
Microsoft Webmaster Tools to support Yahoo! Site Explorer Community
Once organic results are transitioned to Bing in all markets, Yahoo! Site Explorer will be shut down and Microsoft’s Webmaster Tools will be the source for Yahoo! webmaster site and analytics data.
WHAT’S NEW THIS WEEK WITH BING:
Bing for iPad Update: Searching Without a Search Box
Bing for iPad was released in April and the response has been positive. Based on feedback, Bing has released a new feature called Lasso, which allows users to search with the touch of a finger.
