YouTube announces new player for publishers

Google is looking for more European publishers to try out its new YouTube Player for Publishers.

Launched in partnership with Google’s Digital News Initiative, the new player aims to give publishers more control over advertising.

It has worked with the likes of The Guardian, France24 and Unidad Editorial to shape the new player and test it out.

Ted Baker launches shoppable video marketing campaign

Ted Baker's launching a new autumn/winter 2016 fashion marketing campaign, featuring a three-minute shoppable video and interactive, shoppable window displays with Google voice search.

The video is part of a collaboration with director Guy Ritchie and smaller firm Crowns & Owls. Mission Impeccable will be released on 7 September and be entirely shoppable using Wirewax technology.

lastminute.com group gunning for native video with lab launch

There's no greater medium to get people on board with travel content than video, and lastminute.com group's media business is all over native. 

The group has just launched a new video content lab in Europe and aims to move into native advertising. 

The Travel People, its media arm, will run the lab for brands to integrate product placement into ads through the site and the company's social channels.

New AI video ad optimising solution launches

Artificial intelligence is proving itself to be more than just a buzzword recently, especially when it comes to marketing.

Hangouts on Air is moving to YouTube Live

Google's making some pretty big changes to its Hangouts on Air functionality as of 12 September. 

From that date, users of the service will no longer be able to schedule On Air Hangouts through Google Plus; instead they will have to use a new service called YouTube Live.

YouTube added that events scheduled on Google Plus for dates on or after 12 September will have to be moved to YouTube...
